2020-03-12 - St Neots Golf Club Interior Facelift

The interior of St Neots Golf Club had weathered well, standing up to the test of time and use. However, the committee felt that the somewhat utilitarian 1970s appearance of the interior could give way to something more attractive to the members.

Using a range of materials, timber, metal and plastics, carefully selected for the optimum balance of complementary textures, the entire interior was refurbished to appeal not only visually but also to feel better, while being easy for the club to keep clean and looking great.

2020-03-06 - Carnoustie Golf Club Lounge & Meeting Area

Carnoustie Golf Club is one of, if not, the oldest golf club in the world. The club slogan is Steeped in History, Strong in Tradition. In stark contrast to this ethos, the clubhouse is very modern and well appointed, with various comfortable areas for members to meet and talk about golf.

The club wanted a really striking treatment for the members lounge and meeting facility. As with any high traffic area, the finishes had to be not only attractive and comfortable, but also durable and easy to maintain/clean.

With striking floor coverings, tastefully coloured chair fabrics and bespoke furniture items to match the curved rooms, the club was delighted with the effect achieved as well as the flexibility of layouts for meetings and events.

2020-03-02 - Tamworth Assembly Rooms - Our Part in their Multi-Million Pound Makeover

Tamworth Assembly Rooms is a building designed by Nicholas Joyce in 1887 to Celebrate Queen Victoria having been on the throne for 50 years. The official opening was in October 1889.

The building is intensively used for public performance of music and stage as widely varying as ballet and Sooty, so there is entertainment to appeal to all ages and tastes.

As part of a multi-million pound facelift, PB Originals was given the brief to come up with a modern appearance for the cafeteria and the box office desk. As a listed building, material changes were not possible, so the existing mouldings were refurbished and timber tops restored/renewed and modern furnishings created for the eating area.

2019-10-05 - New Collection Previewed at London Design Fair

We had a great time at the recent London Design Fair, showing selected pieces from our new collection. Thanks to all the nice people who came along to visit our stand and take the time to chat to us.

Thanks also to Wallpaper Magazine for the nice write-up. It was gret to see our furniture on the glossy page.

Time to get down to some serious work now, but we will be looking forward to attending more shows soon. Keep an eye on our Events page for dates and locations.

2019-07-30 - The 2019 Womens Open Golf Tournament at Woburn

With tight deadlines and located near some very busy areas, there were challenges and huge demands placed on the team to get th event hospitality areas furnished in time.

This year represents a milestone in Woburn Golf Club History as it is 45 years since the first meeting took place beetween the Marquis of Tavistock and Milton Keynes Council, during which the Marquis outlined his plans to build a golf course.

Huge thanks go to all concerned for really going the extra mile to make sure that everything was perfect and delivered bang on time. The pictures show the end result in the calm before the storm before the huge number of fans start to flock in, all needing somewhere to sit, eat and drink in comfort.

Upwards and onward to the next challenge!

2019-07-22 - Corporate Entertainment &VIP Areas at the Irish Open

July 2019 was a busy month, mostly taken up with furnishing a number of entertainment suites for the Irish Open Golf Tournament. With room sizes of up to 1200 covers, as well as many of the outside serveries and hospitality areas, this involved the full team.

Luckily, with the necessary resources, manpower and network of contacts, all the furnishings were in place well in time for the start of the tournament, leaving a skeleton crew in place to deal with any damage or repairs that arise.

There were a few sleepless nights for all of us in meeting the deadline, but the end result left everyone smiling, so was well worth the effort involved.
